We would like to introduce you to our flagship product, a blend of tradition and innovation. The origin of this sweet treat began as a bun made of wheat flour, butter, eggs and sugar, which was part of the luggage of Asturian emigrants ready to "make their way to the Americas."

Over time, it was modernized into the form of mantecado, which became traditional in the gastronomic festivals of "Bollo en Avilés". In this tradition, godparents give it to their godchildren at Easter.

We decided to go one step further and innovate by giving it a sinuous shape like the dome of the Niemeyer Cultural Center, created by Brazilian designer Oscar Niemeyer.

Since 2008, our Avimeyers have travelled in the suitcases of those who visit us, thus becoming a gastronomic reference point in the Principality of Asturias.
